About the role
The ED Tech Lead provides direct and indirect patient care under supervision, supporting patients of all ages with acute and chronic health issues.
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, ECG recordings, oxygen therapy, catheterization, and patient assessments
- Assist with procedures, mobility, nutrition, and elimination
- Serve as a resource and trainer for other technicians
- Manage scheduling, payroll, supply ordering, and restraint audits
- Promote a safe, clean, and efficient environment
- Precept and train new staff and prepare training materials
- Participate in quality and safety initiatives
- Maintain inventory and ensure adherence to policies
- Promote patient safety, infection control, and personal safety
- Support patient wellness through environment maintenance and assistance with mobility, nutrition, and elimination procedures
- Perform diagnostic tests and manage patient care activities
- Maintain sterile techniques and assist with special procedures
- Ensure compliance with regulations like EMTALA
- Promote patient satisfaction and safety through attentive care, communication, and environment management
Qualifications
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior emergency department technician experience

- Knowledge of medical procedures, equipment, and safety protocols
- Strong problem-solving and mentoring skills
