About the Role
The ED Tech Lead provides direct and indirect patient care across all age groups, assisting with acute and chronic conditions under supervision. The role includes performing nursing assistant duties, unit secretary tasks, phlebotomy, ECG recordings, and supply management. Additional responsibilities involve training new technicians, resolving scheduling and payroll needs, conducting restraint audits, and managing departmental supplies.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care activities, including oxygen therapy, specimen collection, and vital sign monitoring.
- Support patient mobility, nutrition, and elimination procedures.
- Ensure safety protocols, infection control, and proper documentation are followed.
- Order supplies, participate in training, and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Perform special procedures and maintain equipment and support areas.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
- Prior emergency department technician experience is essential.
