About the role
RISE is seeking a Full-Time Lead Direct Support Professional (DSP) for our Day Program Center in XXCityXX, AZ. This position involves working with individuals with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities, including program supervisory, administrative, and transportation responsibilities, alongside direct-care requirements.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and train staff in providing support to individuals with disabilities
- Assist individuals with daily activities as needed, including lifting and physical support
- Conduct administrative tasks such as record-keeping and scheduling
- Ensure compliance with state and organizational rules and policies
- Provide mentoring and advocacy within the community
Requirements
- A desire and experience in working with people with disabilities
- Ability to lift and physically support individuals as needed
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong multi-tasking, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter with minimal supervision
- Detail-oriented and knowledgeable about state and organizational rules
- Specific language abilities may be required for certain roles
- Must be over 21 years old to drive RISE vehicles
- Pass a successful background check, driving record check, and obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
Qualifications
- Valid Arizona driver’s license
