What You'll Do Diagnose malfunctions on equipment and perform repairsOperate the following mobile equipment: loaders, forklifts, trucks, material handlers and other various equipment to troubleshootEnsure all jobs are completed in a proficient and safe manner when working within the plant and/or garage shop areas while wearing Personal Protective EquipmentAbility to inspect vehicle(s) for any safety or operational defects using DOT, maintenance, and safety checklists and ensuring emergency equipment is in proper working orderComply with DOT and state inspection requirementsResponsible to complete DOT manifests and paperwork.Trailer maintenance including electrical, tire changing and brakes What You'll Need Must be able to perform minor repairs and routine tasks efficiently, correctly, and safelyMust keep clean and safe work area and comply with all plant specific rules, procedures, and dutiesMinimum 2 years previous DOT experienceNo on-road preventable accidents during the past (3) years as shown on the Motor Vehicle Road (MVR); accidents are reviewed by CMC LogisticsElectrical troubleshooting and installation skillsBrake certificationValid CDL with clean MVR a plus Your Education High School Diploma or GED preferred We are CMC, a Fortune 500® company at the leading edge of our industry.
