Lead Director - (Architecture) Solution Engineering (AI/ML - GenAI)

Roles And Responsibilities

• Manage a small team of architects performing solution engineering for the PBM organization
• Provide technology leadership, solution oversight, and guidance to ensure adherence to PSS Architecture Guiding Principles and standards while maximizing reuse of technology assets
• Play a key leadership role in architecture design reviews and identify gaps and recommend design changes
• Actively lead and participate in the Architecture community to drive modernization opportunities for the advancement of PBM technology while considering the complexities of our IT landscape
• Lead and drive proofs-of-concept and technology deep-dives specific to partner technologies
• Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to App Dev, Technology Services, and Solutions teams
• Advises and assists App development teams with technical roadblocks such as performance challenges within key strategic initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Technical skills in application and integration architecture, domain-driven design, security, and automation
• A working knowledge of IT operations
• In-depth understanding of APIs and microservices-based architecture
• Experience working with technologies that bridge modern apps and legacy infrastructure using streaming platforms like Apache Kafka
• 10+ years of overall design/development experience
• 8+ years of leadership and management experience
• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms including GCP, AZURE, and AWS
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML (including GenAI)

Preferred Qualifications

• Health Care Industry domain knowledge
• Experience in enterprise development tools and methodologies (XP, Agile) including DevSecOps and DataOps

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is $144,200.00 - $288,400.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
