Lead Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Overnight Shift

Step into leadership with The Arc Western Montana! We’re hiring for a compassionate, dependable person to join our team as the Lead Direct Support Professional on the overnight shift, supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a safe and respectful environment. In this position, you’ll work directly with clients, assist with training overnight staff, and ensure continuity of care across multiple homes during the overnight shift. You won’t be managing a team, but you will be a key resource others rely on.

About the role

Location: Group Homes at The Arc Western Montana

Starting rate of $19.50 an hour, increasing to $21.00 an hour upon successful completion of paid training and certifications. Plus, a $1 per hour shift differential for time worked 11pm - 7am, for up to $22.00 per hour. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position with an overnight shift from 11pm – 7am.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for daily living activities including meals, hygiene, and medication assistance
• Visit multiple homes each night as needed and assist with filling overnight shifts
• Train and guide overnight staff, ensuring adherence to program standards and safety protocols
• Maintain accurate documentation and client records in electronic systems
• Support consistency of care by bridging communication between shifts
• Perform household tasks such as deep cleaning, inventory, and ensuring homes meet licensing requirements
• Create beneficial client projects for use by other shift staff

Requirements

• Previous caregiving experience is required, ideally as a Direct Support Professional, CNA, PCA, or similar role
• Five years of driving experience with a clear enough record to satisfy our insurer
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities during overnight shifts
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Some experience as a leader or trainer would be beneficial
