Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Afternoon/Evening Shift

About the role

We are seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and throughout the community. Earn $18 per hour, work the shift that fits your schedule, and take advantage of our $1,000 sign-on bonus for eligible hires. We are currently hiring for afternoon/evening shift, requiring availability between 2 PM – 11 PM. Weekend availability required; exact start/end times may vary.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities at home and in the community, helping them live as independently as possible.
• Support individuals with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, personal care (grooming, hygiene, etc.), or transportation.
• Encourage participation in social and community activities – shopping, social events, etc.
• Help people achieve personal goals and celebrate progress.
• Promote choice, independence, and self‑advocacy.
• Accurately document care, activities, and progress.
• Communicate with team members to ensure consistent, quality support.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful background check and required training.
• At least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance (primary or secondary).
• Ability to work safely and respectfully in clients’ homes and communities.
• Compassion, reliability, and a desire to make a positive impact.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and/or autism, including implementation of the Individual Service Plan (ISP).
• Experience using foundational behavior‑support strategies such as redirection, visual prompting, and environmental modification.
• Compliance with state background screening requirements.
