About This Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Digital Product Manager to own and deliver major capabilities within our Next Generation Authentication transformation, helping create secure, low-friction authentication experiences across digital channels. This role is intended for an experienced product manager who has successfully delivered authentication, identity, IAM/CIAM, or security capabilities and understands how authentication solutions move from strategy and architecture into production. Working with the Senior Lead Digital Product Manager, you will translate the Vantage authentication strategy into executable product roadmaps, requirements, customer journeys, platform capabilities, and measurable outcomes. The authentication ecosystem is rapidly moving toward stronger, phishing-resistant and more seamless experiences. This role will be directly responsible for turning that strategy into working capabilities used by customers. You will help deliver the next generation of authentication while improving security, reducing customer friction, and strengthening fraud controls.

In This Role, You Will

Authentication Product Delivery

  • Own major authentication capabilities or workstreams from discovery through production implementation and optimization.
  • Translate authentication strategy into detailed roadmaps, requirements, user journeys, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.
  • Partner directly with engineering and architecture throughout design, development, testing, implementation, and production readiness.
  • Manage cross-team dependencies, delivery risks, defects, and implementation decisions.
  • Drive customer and platform adoption following capability launch.
  • Use product-health metrics to identify friction and prioritize improvements.

Authentication & Identity Capabilities

  • Drive delivery across capabilities that may include: Passkeys/FIDO2/WebAuthn, multi-factor authentication, biometrics, device binding and device trust, token and credential management, adaptive and risk-based authentication, authentication enrollment and recovery, and authentication APIs and SDK integrations.
  • Partner with cybersecurity, fraud, risk, architecture, and design to ensure capabilities satisfy security, customer experience, regulatory, and fraud-control requirements.

Cross-Functional Execution

  • Serve as the product owner for assigned authentication workstreams.
  • Lead execution across engineering, architecture, fraud, cybersecurity, risk, design, operations, and digital-channel partners.
  • Surface dependencies and risks early and drive issues through resolution.
  • Communicate delivery status, product health, risks, decisions, and outcomes to senior stakeholders.
  • Recommend improvements to authentication strategy based on delivery experience, customer behavior, data, and technology developments.

Product Health & Optimization

  • Establish and monitor metrics including authentication success/failure, adoption, customer friction, abandonment, recovery, fraud effectiveness, and platform reliability.
  • Analyze customer journeys and production performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Use data, experimentation, and customer insight to continuously optimize authentication experiences.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of digital product management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 3+ years of experience with authentication, identity, IAM/CIAM, cybersecurity, or related digital-security products.
  • Demonstrated experience taking at least one significant authentication or identity capability from requirements/design through production implementation.
  • Experience partnering directly with engineering and architecture teams to deliver complex technology products.

Desired Qualifications

  • Hands-on product experience with passkeys/FIDO2/WebAuthn, MFA, biometrics, device trust, authentication tokens, or adaptive authentication.
  • Working knowledge of authentication and credential lifecycle concepts including enrollment, authentication, recovery, revocation, and replacement.
  • Experience delivering authentication capabilities across web and/or mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with APIs, SDKs, CIAM/IAM platforms, and authentication integration patterns.
  • Experience with risk-based authentication and fraud signals.
  • Strong experience managing complex cross-functional dependencies.
  • Background in financial services, fintech, cybersecurity, or another highly regulated environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using product-health metrics to drive prioritization and decisions.
