Lead Data Architect - Corporate
The Lead Data Architect works in all data environments which includes data design, database architecture, metadata and repository creation. The role addresses problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial, helping the organization become a model for others in the industry through its data strategy.
About the role
You will report to the Principal Solutions Architect and directly support corporate services departments (Finance, Human Resources, Risk, Compliance, or Legal). The Lead Data Architect is responsible for developing blueprints for all data repositories, evaluating hardware and software platforms, and integrating systems. You will translate business needs into long-term data architecture solutions, define and create dimensional database schemas, evaluate reusability of current data, conduct data sheering to remove old or duplicate data, and review object and data models to improve data management and access.
You will advise executives to develop functional strategies on matters of significance. Occasional in-office meetings are required, so you should be located within 50 miles of one of our Hub sites: Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Charlotte NC, Chicago IL, Dallas TX, Ft. Lauderdale FL, Louisville KY, Nashville TN, New York NY, or Tampa FL.
Responsibilities
- Develop blueprints for all data repositories
- Evaluate hardware and software platforms and integrate systems
- Translate business needs into long-term data architecture solutions
- Define and create dimensional database schemas
- Evaluate reusability of current data for separate analyses
- Conduct data sheering to rid the system of old, unused, or duplicate data
- Review object and data models and the metadata repository to structure data for better management and quicker access
- Advise executives to develop functional strategies on matters of significance
- Contribute to the creation of Data Governance standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 or more years of data architecture/engineering experience
- Proficient skills related to Data Modeling, Database Systems, and Data Integration
- Experience with operational data integration
- Experience with big data integration and analytics
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- 7+ years of Data Architecture experience
- Experience designing data pipelines and working with cloud platforms
- SaaS data architecture experience
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence Frameworks and modern data integration methodologies
- Direct experience in corporate services departments (Finance, Human Resources, Risk, Compliance, or Legal)
Pay
The starting base pay range for this full-time (40 hours per week) position is $129,300 - $177,800 per year. The pay range may vary based on geographic location and individual pay will depend on demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, and certifications. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
