Lead Data Analyst (Remote)

PURPOSE: The main purpose of a data analyst is to find meaning in data as a thought leader so that the derived knowledge can be used to make informed decisions and assist the organization in making better business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Engages in data exploration using various programming languages (reading and writing code), requiring advanced knowledge of multiple database structures.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to glean insights, and develop business-appropriate recommendations.
  • Serve as an expert resource supporting data questions and issues from stakeholders and driving to resolution.
  • Research and analyze data flow across complex data ecosystems including operational and analytical data platforms.
  • Manage the collection of business and technical requirements from stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Produce and review technical documentation that is consistent with professional standards.
  • Lead in the design, development, validation, and delivery of data to provide insight into business decisions.
  • Act as a mentor to all team members.
  • May lead a team of matrixed resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, or related field. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required.
  • 8 years of experience in a progressively responsible analytical/quantitative role.

Qualifications

  • Expert-level skills in SQL across enterprise-scale data environments.
  • Microsoft Power BI ecosystem (including Power BI Report Builder, semantic model development, DAX).
  • Microsoft Fabric (dataflows, lakehouses, pipelines, DirectLake).
  • Proficient in Python (advanced analytics, model development, automation).
  • Experience mentoring junior analysts or leading analytics pods/projects.
  • Ability to design and implement analytical models that drive decision-making.
  • Strong storytelling and executive-level presentation skills.
  • Quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of analytical tools, languages, applications, platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to learn quickly and take direction.
  • Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service, including to demanding or challenging customers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Master's degree strongly preferred in Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience working in Agile or product-oriented analytics teams.
  • Familiarity with Git, dbt, or other version-controlled data development workflows.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $102,456 - $203,489. This range has not been adjusted for geographic differentials and considers factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, education, internal peer equity, and market conditions. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range.
