The Lead Application Analyst is responsible for providing leadership and direction with the design, testing and implementing of complex information systems and solutions.
Responsibilities
The Lead Application Analyst possesses advanced knowledge and skills in assigned software applications and various system environments. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and following project schedules, plans and timelines
- Developing, conducting and evaluating training sessions for staff
- Participating in team projects, assisting with group direction and guidance, coordinating work assignments and problem resolution efforts
- Leading or supporting Project Management activities required to deliver business-oriented, valuable and relevant solutions
- Applying technical skills to assure the efficient, effective and consistent delivery of high quality services
- Demonstrating a commitment to the values of the corporation through active participation in the Partners In Caring, Customer Service and Continuous Quality Improvement programs
Requirements
The following are required for the Lead Application Analyst role:
- Associates degree and five (5) years experience; or six (6) years experience in lieu of degree
- Six (6) years of increasingly responsible experience in a large, corporate systems development and implementation activities in a wide variety of Healthcare Management Information Systems (MIS) experience in system design, build, testing and implementation preferred
- Experience in leading projects and supporting the most complex problems
- Experience directing other analysts
- Demonstrated record of bringing tasks and projects to successful conclusion
- Mentoring team members and other analysts
- Demonstrated exceptional communications skills
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Comprehensive knowledge of application support, development tools and methodologies
- Industry training and increasingly responsible experience with knowledge and skills in a large, complex corporate Information System
Principal Accountabilities
The Lead Application Analyst will be accountable for:
- Technical Administration: leading and providing advanced knowledge in the support of various operating systems and software applications
- Planning & Coordinating: developing, prioritizing and executing projects according to established schedules and timeframes
- Systems Development: translating user and department information systems needs into technical solutions
- Technical Standards: acting as an advocate for setting and enforcing technical development, application support and information management standards
- Application Support: demonstrating in-depth knowledge and techniques in supporting Applications in development projects and complex problem solving efforts
- Training: preparing, conducting and evaluating training sessions for staff
- Customer Service: providing effective Customer Service by being courteous, polite and friendly toward others at all times
