Lead Credit and Collections Analyst
Job Summary
Responsible for administering and providing oversight for a wide variety of credit and collection functions.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, And Key Accountabilities
- Ensures compliance with established guidelines, reviews and monitors credit sources, credit files, customer applications and delinquent accounts
- Gathers, compiles, and maintains basic credit information
- Maintains records on credit risks, delinquent accounts and incomplete files
- Sets up and/or obtains approval to set up new accounts and/or job accounts
- Responds to all communications and requests for assistance from the branches in a timely manner
Nature and Scope
Problems are typically difficult and/or high impact. Troubleshoots complex support or operational problems for junior level associates. Under limited supervision, independently resolves issues and applies a variety of methods to develop customized solutions. May lead the daily operations of a department or team. Work typically involves infrequent review of output by a supervisor or direct customers of the process. Assists with supervisory duties but does not have hiring/firing authority. Trains, delegates tasks, and reviews the work of junior level associates.
Work Environment
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education And Experience
- Technical certification or associate degree may be required in some areas
- Generally 7+ years of experience in area of responsibility
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial construction industry collection experience in the NY market - REQUIRED
- Experience with Oracle and getpaid - Preferred
- Lien and Bond claim experience
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Experience training, coaching, and developing team members
- Experience following clearly defined policies and procedures
Pay Range
$26.80-$40.70 Hourly
New York law requires the posting of the salary range for advertised jobs. This range is determined based on market data and internal pay practices to establish a minimum and maximum value for a job. Individual base pay is determined based on a variety of elements including experience, skills, internal equity and other factors.
