Responsibilities
- Serve as the legal partner for product and business teams, offering daily counsel on impactful initiatives
- Advises on diverse legal matters such as payments, healthcare compliance, consumer protection, and data governance
- Lead all aspects of drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing commercial agreements
- Continuously enhance contract templates and legal processes for better efficiency
- Collaborate with Sales and GTM teams to mitigate legal risks while accelerating deal execution
- Work alongside Legal Operations to create scalable workflows and automate repetitive tasks
- Contribute to a collaborative legal team with significant ownership and direct business impact
Qualifications
- 6 to 11 years of combined law-firm and in-house experience, especially in SaaS, payments/fintech, or regulated tech companies
- JD from an accredited law school and active license to practice in at least one US state
- Promised track record in working independently and managing legal matters end to end
- Strong expertise in technology and commercial contracting, balancing risk with speed
- Ability to navigate across various legal domains, including commercial, regulatory, and privacy issues
- Practical, solutions-oriented approach with strong communication skills to clarify complex issues for non-lawyers
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations with competing priorities
