About the role
We are seeking a Lead Controls Engineer to join our Mission Critical data center team. This position involves supporting the design, development, deployment, installation, and commissioning of industrial automation solutions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a team member supporting the execution of project work from design through implementation.
- Perform quality checks and bench testing of PLC, HMI, & SCADA programs.
- Provide onsite and remote support commissioning system design changes.
- Adapt to a flexible work schedule & travel to accommodate projects across the United States.

Requirements
- Develop/modify design documentation – drawing packages, method of procedures, sequence of operations, testing scripts.
- Create tools, methods and approaches to increase engineering efficiency.
- Develop and Lead training classes internally and externally.
- Absorb and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Assist Business development team to evaluate and promote opportunities with predesigns, estimates, and in person presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in the control system industry.
- Able to work independently on projects and tasks with a very organized and methodical approach.
- Basic understanding of control system network topologies.
- Experience commissioning in "live" environments.
- A DNA comprised of collaboration and teamwork.
Skills
- Experience with PLC or DDC controlled data center projects.
- Experience with AVEVA Wonderware, FactoryTalk View SE, OPC UA/DA, Rockwell or Schneider PLC's, Tridium Niagara, Eclypse Designer.
- Experience with Building Management & HVAC Control Systems.
- Experience with BMS and EPMS.
- Instrumentation calibration / startup experience.

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The position requires flexibility to work on-site and remotely as needed.
