Lead Construction Inspector

Responsibilities
- Provide support to the engineers and act as an assistant construction project team leader and manager with assigned responsibility for the coordination, execution, and construction management of engineering projects.
- Perform calculations using engineering formulas and skills.
- Aid in the analysis for the development and implementation of engineering and construction-related services.
- Absorb and oversee daily work tasks for a diverse team of field inspectors.
- Supervise and mentor less experienced staff and/or technical support, and help to hold team members accountable to the Critical Infrastructure Command Team’s high standards.
Requirements
- 5 years of related experience in heavy civil construction inspection required.
- Certified Welding Inspector certification is preferred.
- ACI certification with experience in Post pour inspections, pre-pour inspections, Concrete mapping, Concrete structures, Concrete rehabilitation is preferred.
- DOT, ACI, or related certifications for Asphalt and/or Concrete preferred.

Pay
Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $38.00 – $51.50 per hour. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job-specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
Schedule
This position requires travel for extended periods of time, approximately 75%-80% of the year, with generous paid allowances for time spent with loved ones. Some working hours will be during evenings, overnight, and weekends.
