Lead Construction Coordinator

About the role

Systems Planning Corporation (SPC), a subsidiary of GAI Consultants, Inc., seeks Construction Inspectors / Coordinators (Senior Project Construction Technician 1) to oversee transmission line and substation construction projects in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern states.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contractors performing site preparation and access road construction
• Document permitting requirements
• Oversight of contractors during transmission line rehabilitation
• Perform field monitoring on multisite/phase construction projects
• Generate and substantiate reports and documentation regarding construction, materials, integration, equipment, and operations

Requirements

• Minimum of 16 years of construction experience with transmission line, substation, or distribution expertise
• Excellent safety record and up-to-date OSHA 10 hour training
• Knowledge of system switching and ability to become qualified to client's clearances
• Ability to maintain client's laptop computer and complete necessary reports and updates
• Criminal background check may be required due to NERC requirements
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern states
