About the role

Eaton's Electrical Critical Power Solutions Division is currently seeking a Lead Compliance Engineer. This role follows a hybrid work model (3 days in-office, 2 days remote). In-office presence is required based on business and work needs. Remote flexibility is provided to support productivity, but employees should expect to be on-site as necessary to meet team and project requirements. Relocation assistance is available within the US to Raleigh, NC.

Responsibilities

  • Define and manage technical and regulatory requirements for Static Transfer Switches, Power Distribution Units, Remote Power Panels, and related Data Center End-of-Power-Chain equipment, ensuring compliance with geographic-specific standards.
  • Develop and communicate requirement plans to design teams and project leaders, actively contribute throughout the design process, and support validation and agency testing to confirm all criteria are met on schedule.
  • Maintain up-to-date certifications and ensure the business remains compliant with evolving safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with accreditation NRTL agencies (like UL, Intertek, TUV) with electrical focus
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with ISO17025 accreditation

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with accreditation NRTL agencies (like UL, Intertek, TUV) with electrical focus
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with ISO17025 accreditation

Skills

  • Hands-on experience in laboratory testing and evaluation of electrical power equipment
  • Knowledge of UPS, Power Conversion Equipment, and electrical distribution equipment safety and legal requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of safety and legal requirements for information technology equipment, hazardous material handling and transportation
  • Knowledge of emerging environmental, TSCA and ROHS requirements
  • Familiarity of the following regulatory standards: UL1778 / UL60950-1, IEC 62040-1 / IEC62477-1, IEC6240-2/ IEC6240-3, UL9540, UL1973

Pay

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97,000 - $143,000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
