Responsibilities
- Strategically partner with sales teams to support rapid deal cycles
- Draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including SaaS and related agreements
- Act as a trusted advisor delivering practical legal guidance aligned with business objectives
- Train sales teams on common legal issues to facilitate transaction closures
- Collaborate with teams to provide legal support for new product and selling model launches
- Maintain customer-facing legal terms to ensure clarity and transparency
- Develop and enhance best practices and resources for the commercial legal team
Qualifications
- J.D. degree from an accredited institution with active U.S. state bar membership
- 8+ years of law practice experience, particularly in-house at a tech company
- Significant experience supporting sales organizations on outbound SaaS transactions
- Expertise in creating enterprise SaaS terms and advising on AI-related legal issues preferred
- Demonstrated track record collaborating with cross-functional teams including Sales and Finance
- Strong legal acumen combined with business judgment and emotional intelligence
- Ability to operate independently and thrive in ambiguity
