Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Commercial Banking Relationship Manager to join our Commercial Auto business.
About the role
In this role, you will develop, retain, and grow complex to highly complex client relationships through relationship management. You will understand the needs and priorities of clients and financial decision-makers, respond quickly, communicate proactively, manage expectations, and solicit feedback. You will act as an advisor to guide and influence others in growing relationships and advise senior leadership on structuring, modifying, and renewing highly complex cash flow, real estate loans, and industry-specific solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy and resolution for a full suite of highly complex solutions offered by Wells Fargo to meet unique client needs, requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas of the enterprise.
- Engage product organizations to develop client-specific solutions, leveraging a solid understanding of clients' businesses, strategic objectives, operational priorities, and financial positions.
- Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions within the Commercial Banking Relationship Management group.
- Strategically engage with all levels across the enterprise to improve processes, risk control, resolve client issues, and represent the company externally.
- Serve as an expert advisor to leadership and a mentor for less experienced colleagues.
- Drive relationship planning activities to deliver the full suite of solutions and maintain sales and pipeline disciplines by keeping information current in relevant systems.
- Source and originate new commercial banking relationships by proactively identifying, prospecting, and closing opportunities with middle-market and mid-corporate companies.
- Leverage referral networks, centers of influence, and industry contacts to drive new loan, deposit, fee, and treasury management revenue.
- Partner with Commercial Lending Product Management to provide vision, direction, and expertise on client and market needs for credit solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Commercial Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Qualifications
- 3+ years working with retail franchise automotive dealerships to provide lending solutions, inventory financing, and floor plan financing.
- Demonstrated experience generating new client relationships and building long-term client relationships.
- Proven ability to build effective partnerships (e.g., Treasury Management, WIM, and Indirect Retail).
- Commercial banking account relationship management experience within the Emerging Middle Market / Middle Market segment.
- Completion of a formal credit training program.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of core banking products and services.
- Experience working collaboratively to deliver solutions to clients and prospects.
- Experience identifying and mitigating risk, ensuring compliance with processes and procedures.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
