Summary of Job Duties
The Clinical Therapist – Lead in the Behavioral Health Service Line’s Walker Family Clinic will provide direct clinical services such as diagnostic assessment, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention to patients. The Lead works directly under the supervision of the Walker Family Clinic Clinical Therapist Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
- At least 3 years of direct clinical behavioral health experience
- Licensed by Arkansas Professional Board - Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of direct clinical outpatient behavioral health experience
- Evidence-based treatment background, trauma-informed care model
- Understanding of EPIC
Responsibilities
- Assist with the referral process, including reviewing referrals, educating providers on the internal referral process, assessing and confirming continuity of care for established patients, and assisting providers with external referrals, as recommended
- Provide support to Walker Family Clinic Clinical Therapists, including:
- Maintaining community resource listing for internal customers
- Assisting with internal transfers
- Training new employees
- Staffing challenging cases
- Responding to clinic crisis calls and emergent needs onsite
- Assist the Clinical Therapist Supervisor by providing supervision when the Clinical Therapist Supervisor and/or Program Manager are out of the office
- Assist with EMR scheduling needs and HR functions as requested by the Clinical Therapist Supervisor
- Make decisions related to treatment planning
- Understand mental health diagnosis and treatment
- Maintain a caseload, including contacting patients and discharging as appropriate
- Maintain ongoing communication with supervisor and other members of the treatment team
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, supervision, and continuing education activities to maintain quality provision and coordination of care, as well as professional licensure and/or certification
- Provide direct and indirect clinical services in the office (unless remote work agreement is available upon hire)
