Lead Central Sterile Technician

About the role

HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital is seeking a Lead Central Sterile Technician who is passionate about the patient experience and committed to providing exceptional care. This position involves cleaning, inspecting, assembling, and sterilizing surgical instruments and trays, operating and maintaining sterilization equipment, preparing surgical sets and case carts, managing inventory, and leading a team to create a safe, efficient environment.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, inspecting, assembling, and sterilizing surgical instruments and trays
• Operating and maintaining sterilization equipment, keeping detailed records
• Preparing surgical sets and case carts by reviewing daily schedules and gathering necessary supplies
• Managing inventory and organizing supplies in OR storage areas
• Working closely with the surgical team to ensure surgeries run smoothly and on time
• Leading and training the Sterile Processing team, sharing updates on new equipment and processes, and setting a positive example

Qualifications

• (CRCST) Certified Registered Central Service Technician or CBSPD
• High School Graduate / GED
• 1 years' experience required

Skills

Knowledge of CensiTrac and SPM systems is preferred.
