About the role

Build Your Career. Lead From the Front. Make an Impact. Are you someone who takes pride in doing great work, solving problems, and taking care of customers? Do you have experience in carpet cleaning, water restoration, or another hands-on service industry and want an opportunity to grow into a leadership role? Voda Cleaning & Restoration is looking for a Lead Carpet Cleaning Restoration Technician to join our growing team. This is more than a technician position. We're looking for someone who wants to take ownership of their work, deliver an exceptional customer experience, continue developing their skills, and help set the standard for our field team as the business grows.

Responsibilities

  • Perform professional carpet, upholstery, floor, and specialty cleaning services.
  • Assist with and perform water mitigation and restoration services.
  • Evaluate job-site conditions and communicate recommended services to customers.

  • Complete work orders, photos, job notes, moisture logs, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Properly operate, clean, and maintain company equipment, tools, and vehicles.
  • Follow company safety procedures, service standards, and job-site protocols.
  • Identify appropriate opportunities for additional services that may benefit the customer.
  • Support and help train additional technicians as the team grows.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional certifications.
  • Cross-train in additional restoration services, which may include mold remediation, fire and smoke restoration, odor control, and other specialty services.
  • Lead by example and contribute to a positive, accountable, team-oriented culture.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in carpet cleaning, water mitigation/restoration, cleaning services, construction, maintenance, or another hands-on service industry.
  • Strong customer-service and communication skills.
  • Dependable, professional, and comfortable taking ownership of assigned work.
  • Ability to learn new processes, equipment, technology, and service techniques.
  • Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for job documentation and communication.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with cleaning and restoration work.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
  • IICRC certifications such as CCT or WRT are a plus, but not required.

What success looks like

  • Shows up ready to work and can be counted on.
  • Communicates professionally with customers and teammates.
  • Takes pride in the quality of their work.
  • Looks for solutions instead of waiting to be told what to do.
  • Is coachable and open to feedback.
  • Treats customers' homes and businesses with care and respect.
  • Wants to continue learning and advancing as the company grows.
  • Understands that a great customer experience is just as important as great technical work.

Career growth

For the right person, this position can provide opportunities to develop technical expertise, earn industry certifications, take on additional responsibility, help train future team members, and grow into leadership positions as the business expands.
