Lead Carpentry Technician - Roofer

About the role

Responsible for leading carpentry tasks in roofing projects, supervising apprentices, and ensuring project quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and train apprentices in carpentry techniques and safety protocols.
• Plan and execute complex roofing projects, ensuring adherence to building codes and standards.
• Oversee the installation of roofing materials, including shingles, underlayment, and flashing.
• Ensure all work adheres to safety guidelines and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other team members to resolve issues and improve project outcomes.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in carpentry and roofing.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Knowledge of local building codes and industry standards.

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

Salary range: $50,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with occasional weekend work as needed.
