About the role

Career TEAM is hiring a Lead Career Advisor as part of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program to work with WIOA and Unemployed and Underemployed Adult Job Seeker customers. This position will be responsible for providing oversight and coaching to the Career Advisors, managing processes for partnership building, approving enrollment applications, supporting services, assessing caseloads, reporting monthly, training in case management activities, and assisting with the day-to-day operation of the Career Advisors.

Responsibilities

  • Serve our staff with leadership
  • Manage the team’s active caseloads for served programs
  • Create and maintain all sites and oversee program referral pathway processes
  • Ensure Career Advisors maintain accurate written case records and files
  • Audit and manage caseloads of new registrants and carryover participants
  • Track clients' progress in training and job search activities monthly
  • Document all interactions with clients
  • Develop and implement strategies to incorporate a focus on performance objectives
  • Prepare and present reports of activities and accomplishments
  • Provide coverage at different locations as needed
  • Approach each day and task with a “ZAG” mindset

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher
  • 2+ years of experience working in a career center or providing career development services
  • 1+ year of experience working with unemployed and underemployed individuals
  • Ability to give presentations and workshops
  • Demonstrated understanding of WIOA programs and services
  • Demonstrated ability to be highly detail-oriented
  • Knowledge of local community colleges, local community partners, and private training provider system (plus)
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel), PowerPoint, training platforms, and case management or customer relations software applications
  • Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid Driver’s License

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • Experience with local WIOA programs (strongly preferred)
  • Knowledgeable about the local region and relevant partners
  • Astounding ability to multitask and be proactive

Benefits

Salary: $48,000-$55,000/yr, commensurate with education and experience. Career TEAM offers a competitive benefits package including healthcare, dental, and personal/vacation time.

Schedule

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
