Lead Cafe Barista

About the role

Onsite is a therapeutic retreat center with a 40-year history of healing, located on a 250-acre campus just outside of Nashville. Our vision is "An emotionally well world... Humanity reconnected," and we provide healing hospitality that supports the life transformation of our programs.

Responsibilities

• Client-facing role, responsible for delivering exemplary customer service daily in the café.
• Create coffee, espresso, tea, and handmade beverages such as mochas, lattes, and iced drinks.
• Maintain café inventory, clean and sanitize the space, and operate the café register.
• Maintain cash handling protocols and adhere to safety, health, and sanitation requirements.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred, ideally 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in a coffeehouse, café, and high-end foodservice organization.
• Optimistic, eager, independent, and creative personality.
• Familiarity with various café equipment, especially high-end espresso machines.
• Strong communication skills.

Qualifications

We are open to candidates from all backgrounds, but those with the following qualifications will be well-suited for this role:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in a coffeehouse, café, and high-end foodservice organization.
