Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert to consult with the business as well as HR partners to understand areas of opportunity and effectively build and align short- and long-term strategies and tactics that deliver enterprise and business results.
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence, HR Business Partners, and business leaders to effectively integrate Belonging strategy into business strategies, people practices, and operational routines.
  • Establish and maintain effective interaction models with HR Centers of Excellence, providing strategic consultation and guidance to strengthen belonging integration, clarify roles and accountability, and embed Belonging into enterprise people processes and experiences.
  • Stay connected internally and externally, leveraging industry trends to lead, influence, support, and facilitate organizational change that fosters Belonging.
  • Leverage data and insights to inform Human Capital Management strategy for business leaders and influence HR practices and processes to drive equity and strengthen Target’s culture of inclusion.
  • Act as a coach, trusted partner, and confidant in helping leaders, HR partners, and team members build belonging integration and inclusion acumen through consultation, personal curiosity, immersive experiences, and targeted learning opportunities.
  • Lead visible cross-functional project teams to build solutions across a wide range of Belonging-related initiatives and enterprise priorities.

Requirements

  • A four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 6–8 years of strategy development and/or experience in Human Resources, Belonging, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, organizational effectiveness, or related fields
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, consulting, and problem-solving skills; ability to design, develop, and deliver innovative solutions
  • Demonstrated belonging integration and inclusion acumen, with the ability to influence people strategies, operating models, and organizational practices
  • Proven track record of critical thinking; ability to leverage data and insights to influence decisions and develop measurable solutions
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to partner with broad cross-functional teams; proven ability to execute multiple priorities simultaneously with quality results
  • Flexibility, resiliency, and nimbleness; comfortable working in ambiguity and navigating complex organizational dynamics
  • Ability to influence a broad group of stakeholders, partners, and senior leaders without direct authority
  • Ability to connect and integrate strategies across multiple functions and business priorities
  • High levels of initiative, self-motivation, and accountability
  • Strong change leadership and partnership-building capabilities

Qualifications

Four-year degree or equivalent experience

6–8 years of strategy development and/or experience in Human Resources, Belonging, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, organizational effectiveness, or related fields

Strong communication, interpersonal, consulting, and problem-solving skills; ability to design, develop, and deliver innovative solutions

Demonstrated belonging integration and inclusion acumen, with the ability to influence people strategies, operating models, and organizational practices

Proven track record of critical thinking; ability to leverage data and insights to influence decisions and develop measurable solutions

Strong collaboration skills and ability to partner with broad cross-functional teams; proven ability to execute multiple priorities simultaneously with quality results

Pay

The pay range is $95,000.00 - $171,000.00

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications.

Schedule

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
