Lead Barista - NYC

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and sound judgment to the Café Services team to the benefit of the company
• Implement operations policies, processes, procedures, and standards as it relates to the café and overall food/beverage department
• Train and develop a world-class retail café operations team
• Actively participate in defining the team culture and incorporating it into the café operations
• Aid in establishing basic personnel standards for the café and overall food/beverage department
• Be part of the LOD (Leader on Duty) retail café rotation
• Assess the effectiveness of the team, provide feedback to management, and enforce disciplinary actions as outlined in the employee handbook and training
• Oversee inventory levels; notify upper management of re-order needs to ensure smooth operation
• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must possess NYC Food Handler’s Certificate
• Must be able to remain in a standing, stationary position more than 75% of the time
• Must be able to work a minimum of three shifts, one of which must be a weekend day
• Must be able to frequently move food service inventory and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to move about inside the retail coffee shop space
• Must be able to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment
• Must be able to work a variable schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Skills

Pay

This part-time position pays $21.00 per hour.

Your schedule will be flexible and include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
