Lead Barista

About the role

The Lead Barista supports daily operations within Morning Ritual by preparing high-quality beverages, ensuring consistent service standards, and guiding barista team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, friendly, and efficient service to all guests.
• Answer questions about the menu, coffee origins, brewing methods, and specialty drinks.
• Resolve minor guest concerns and communicate larger issues to management.
• Prepare beverages consistently and to recipe standards.
• Maintain a high level of coffee knowledge, including grind settings, extraction, milk texturing, and seasonal offerings.
• Absolutely ensure drinks meet presentation and quality standards before serving.
• Maintain inventory levels for coffee, syrups, milk, and bar supplies.
• Absolutely ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Clean espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment daily.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one (1) year of related café and customer experience required.

Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one (1) year of related café and customer experience.
