Responsibilities
- Ensures guest satisfaction during banquet functions.
- Aids in ongoing evaluation of employees.
- Maintains compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensures service standards are met during banquet functions, including set-up, equipment, room set-up, lighting, etc.
- Ensures all rooms are set up according to the banquet event order (BEO).
- Ensures door signs are placed daily for each function according to BEO.
- Ensures back hallways and equipment are organized, clean, and in their correct spaces for proper egress.
- Notifies Assistant Manager of any damage to equipment as soon as possible.
- Presents a professional manner at all times.
- Reviews weekly functions and employee scheduling with Banquet Manager.
- Ensures proper sanitation procedures are followed at all times.
- Exemplifies Silver Legacy’s core values, family style service, mission, and vision.
- Exemplifies Silver Legacy’s DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) culture.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Minimum of 2-4 years as Banquet Captain in a multi-unit hotel or casino.
- High School diploma or equivalent education.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Frequent walking.
- Work area is subject to variable temperatures.
- May be subject to smoking environment and moderate noise.
