Primary Responsibilities
- Welcomeing guests upon their arrival and assisting them with their seating arrangements.
- Aiding managers and organizers with planning the layout and logistics of events.
- Sets up tables, chairs, cutlery, plates, glasses, table linens, centerpieces, heating lamps, serving utensils, and carving stations.
- Develops and provides staff with necessary training, including customer service and serving etiquette.
- Manages the setup of events, runs the floor, and coordinates food and drink service by liaising with the kitchen and service staff.
- Maintains inventory of supplies, equipment, and furniture.
- Tends to guests' requests, questions, and complaints.
- Ensures venue and facilities remain neat and clean.
- Maintains compliance with all applicable safety regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred degree in hospitality or similar field.
- A minimum of 3 years experience as a banquet lead or similar.
- Great time management and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to provide excellent customer service, even in stressful situations.
- Physically fit with good stamina for physical tasks such as moving and lifting furniture and standing for long periods of time.
- Willingness to work long hours, irregular shifts, and on weekends and holidays.
