About the role
Join a winning and world-class culture where you can progress in your career and create a positive influence. Come join this diverse, high performing team committed to pioneering innovations.
Responsibilities
- Lead ServiceNow platform and solution architecture for strategic initiatives from discovery through delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement.
- Define target-state architectures, reference designs, and reusable patterns across workflow, data model, CMDB alignment, identity/access, and environment strategy.
- Drive architecture governance by facilitating design reviews, documenting decisions and trade-offs (e.g., ADRs), and aligning stakeholders to standards.
- Partner with engineering teams to translate non-functional requirements into implementable designs for availability, performance, scalability, security, and observability.
- Own the integration strategy between ServiceNow and upstream/downstream systems using APIs, events, and middleware patterns that are supportable at scale.
- Identify architectural risks and constraints early, and propose pragmatic mitigation plans and phased roadmaps that balance speed with control.
- Collaborate with product, operations, and control partners to manage dependencies, align priorities, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Mentor engineers and architects through design coaching, implementation guidance, and constructive review to raise the technical bar across teams.
- Champion automation, reusability, and engineering excellence to reduce manual effort and improve reliability across the ServiceNow delivery lifecycle.
- Optimize platform performance and operability by guiding instrumentation, logging/monitoring strategies, capacity planning, and incident learnings into design updates.
- Leverage enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate architecture discovery and decisioning, with human-in-the-loop validation and appropriate handling of sensitive data.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification on infrastructure architecture concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
- Deep knowledge of ServiceNow architecture and core concepts, including data model design, workflows/flows, security roles, and performance considerations.
- Proven ability to define and socialize target-state architectures, integration patterns, and reference designs across multiple teams.
- Strong command of modern integration approaches (API-led, event-driven patterns) and distributed system design principles.
- Experience designing for non-functional requirements, including resiliency, scalability, security, observability, and disaster recovery.
- Able to evaluate trade-offs across scope, risk, operability, cost, and time-to-deliver—then guide teams to practical decisions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including influencing without authority and building alignment across competing priorities.
- Consistent track record of producing high-quality architecture documentation (e.g., ADRs, NFRs, diagrams) that enables governed delivery.
- Commitment to inclusive teamwork, using clear, respectful communication and encouraging diverse perspectives in technical decisions.
- Experience applying enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment in software engineering and architecture workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
- Able to evaluate and integrate AI-enabled capabilities into cloud-native architectures while meeting resiliency, security, and auditability requirements.
Qualifications
- ServiceNow certifications (architect-level credentials such as CTA/CMA are strongly valued).
- AWS architecture experience, including core services, security, networking, and observability patterns.
- Experience operating in regulated environments with strong change governance, auditability expectations, and risk/control partnership.
- Familiarity with CMDB/asset strategy in large enterprises, including data quality, discovery, and lifecycle management.
- Background in platform engineering practices (automation, CI/CD enablement, environment strategy) for ServiceNow delivery at scale.
- Exposure to analytics/reporting considerations for workflow platforms (data movement, reporting architecture, and performance impacts).
