Responsibilities

As an Appliance Repair Technician, you are the key component in providing excellent customer service by delivering high-quality maintenance services for our customer's appliances.

• Diagnose and repair home appliances and equipment
• Provide cost estimates for repairs
• Effectively communicate with the customer to ensure they understand the services needed
• Order parts and ensure efficient use of company materials
• Collect payment for work performed

Qualifications

To succeed in this role as an Appliance Repair Technician, you need:

• Exceptional Customer Service: You are the face of the company, delivering a great customer experience with empathy. You accurately diagnose and solve problems so customers can get back to running an efficient household.
• Getting from Diagnosis to Solution: You help customers understand what needs to be done to resolve issues quickly.
• Quality of Work: Requires critical thinking skills and the ability to problem solve to ensure customers are satisfied and the job gets fixed correctly the first time.
• Efficiency: Respond to all customer needs for the day by managing time and completing repairs quickly.
• Punctuality and Reliability: Be available and show up on time to deliver a great experience.
• Pride in the Details: Keep your work vehicle clean and organized, and value attention to detail in completing customer information and reports.
• Ongoing Training: Research new equipment and take advantage of training opportunities to expand knowledge and skills as new appliances and features come out.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• EPA Type 1 or Universal CFC Certification required
• Previous experience of one year or more in appliance repair is a plus

Pay

The pay range for this position is $60,000 to $150,000 per year, depending on experience in appliance repair, with opportunities to earn bonuses and commissions. Our technicians are usually paid on a daily guarantee to start and eventually a commission based on revenue, but compensation type is subject to negotiation. Our top technicians easily earn well over $100,000 annually.
