About the role
We are seeking a determined Lead Alarm & Certified Security Professional who embodies our core values: Service, Accountability, Customer Focus, Growth, and Integrity. This role is for tenured, industry-proven technicians with a track record of white-glove customer experience. You will support a customized approach to new installations, building next-level customer relationships through site visits, system design, installations, and tech enhancements while partnering with our care team to ensure all customer needs are met. Additionally, you will serve as a technical expert in residential “custom home” installations and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
- Experience with these specific alarm panels: Qolsys 4 and 5, Honeywell (Vista 20 and 128), DSC (1864, 1616), Concord 4, and familiarity with others such as DMP, 2GIG, and Ademco.
- Troubleshoot technical problems.
- Proficient in drilling for, dropping, and running wires in multi-level homes.
- Replace/Install system components: add-ons, conversions, takeovers, new installs, and service.
- Properly maintain and record inventory transactions job to job.
- Install and test the operations of all equipment to ensure proper functionality and signal verification required to establish service.
- Identify opportunities to improve the use and functionality of the customer’s system and provide recommendations.
- Maintain safety practices to prevent injury and damage to property.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace/job site, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized fleet vehicle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience in residential alarm installations.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality results.
- Relevant certifications and licenses are a plus.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Good driving record and valid driver’s license.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Working knowledge of how an alarm system operates.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
- Ability to work in tight spaces such as crawlspaces, attics, and basements.
Pay
Base Pay Range: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour (or salary equivalent). Eligible for additional earnings based on sales performance and upsell activity.
