Lead Airport Baggage Handling System Operator - SLC Airport

Responsibilities

• Act as a point of contact for team members to address questions or challenges during operations.
• Provide basic on-the-job training and guidance to new or less experienced operators.
• Promote teamwork and effective communication among the team.
• Ensure all team activities adhere to safety protocols and operational guidelines.
• Respond to and clear faults that occur with the baggage handling system in a timely manner.
• Transport baggage within the baggage handling area.
• Report any issues found that could potentially lead to additional system failures.
• Complete entry level Maintenance Mechanic duties as needed.
• Assist with operational issues during outages or failures.
• Regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comply with company safety program and trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED, or Equivalent preferred.
• Valid Drivers’ License required.
• Experience with Airport operations a plus.
• Ability to be badged to work in secure areas of an airport.
• Ability to work Day or Night Shift, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment.
