About the role

Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT)

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and troubleshoots aircraft systems
  • Assigns personnel work and provides on-the-job training
  • Determines airworthiness of aircraft and components
  • Ensures adherence to established procedures and Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Manages the quantity and quality of work produced by the work group
  • Maintains and performs preventive maintenance on aircraft, components, and equipment
  • Works in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks with a high degree of attention to detail
  • Communicates effectively and respectfully with employees and peers
  • Works harmoniously and effectively with peers, subordinates, supervisors, and the public
  • Performs additional functions as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Airframe and Powerplant mechanics license
  • Professional work experience in aircraft maintenance, preferred 1 year experience as an AMT
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Read, understand, and follow maintenance manuals and wiring diagrams
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and general internet applications
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable under company insurance coverage
  • Ability to travel internationally, passport required
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred, or the ability to inspire and direct others

Qualifications

  • Must not have any medical conditions that preclude certification of aircraft run and taxi of company aircraft and vehicles
  • Physical exertion such as pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, standing, walking and light lifting of boxes, bags, files and electronic equipment not in excess of 50 lbs
  • Must be able to use ladders, work stands, lifts, etc. and be able to work on all areas of the aircraft that may require access during performance of duties
