About the role
Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT)
Responsibilities
- Maintains and troubleshoots aircraft systems
- Assigns personnel work and provides on-the-job training
- Determines airworthiness of aircraft and components
- Ensures adherence to established procedures and Federal Aviation Regulations
- Manages the quantity and quality of work produced by the work group
- Maintains and performs preventive maintenance on aircraft, components, and equipment
- Works in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks with a high degree of attention to detail
- Communicates effectively and respectfully with employees and peers
- Works harmoniously and effectively with peers, subordinates, supervisors, and the public
- Performs additional functions as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Airframe and Powerplant mechanics license
- Professional work experience in aircraft maintenance, preferred 1 year experience as an AMT
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Read, understand, and follow maintenance manuals and wiring diagrams
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and general internet applications
- Valid driver’s license and insurable under company insurance coverage
- Ability to travel internationally, passport required
- Prior supervisory experience is preferred, or the ability to inspire and direct others
Qualifications
- Must not have any medical conditions that preclude certification of aircraft run and taxi of company aircraft and vehicles
- Physical exertion such as pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, standing, walking and light lifting of boxes, bags, files and electronic equipment not in excess of 50 lbs
- Must be able to use ladders, work stands, lifts, etc. and be able to work on all areas of the aircraft that may require access during performance of duties
