Lead Accountant

About the role

The Lead Accountant will oversee month-end close, financial reporting, grants and donor accounting, audit support, cash management, internal controls, and budgeting support while helping build processes and infrastructure to support continued organizational growth.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close and financial reporting
• Manage grants and donor accounting
• Support audits and ensure compliance
• Manage cash flow and internal controls
• Provide budgeting support and assist with forecasting
• Build and improve financial processes and systems

Requirements

• Strong general ledger accounting and month-end/year-end close experience
• Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mentality
• Ability to build relationships and collaborate with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Nonprofit accounting experience preferred, especially with grants, restricted funds, and compliance reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA certification preferred
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance

Pay

USD80,000 - USD90,000 per year
