Lead Accountant

Location: Indianapolis, IN (On-Site) Compensation: $90,000-$110,000 depending on experience Position Overview Our client is seeking a Lead Accountant to oversee the month-end close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and accounting operations. This role will serve as a key member of the accounting team, providing mentorship to staff and partnering with leadership to support business objectives. Responsibilities Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.Analyze financial results and investigate variances.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.Support annual audits and ensure GAAP compliance.Identify and implement process improvements.Mentor and support junior accounting staff. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.5+ years of progressive accounting experience.Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
