Responsibilities

  • Underwrite and manage a diverse transportation insurance portfolio, focusing on growth and retention
  • Evaluate new and renewal transportation risks using underwriting guidelines
  • Analyze submissions and operational exposures to make informed underwriting decisions
  • Maintain underwriting discipline while ensuring high service levels for partners
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and coverage for new and renewal accounts
  • Develop and nurture relationships with brokers to identify new business opportunities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5-7+ years of transportation underwriting experience
  • Experience managing a portfolio of commercial transportation risks
  • Strong skills in broker relationship management and business development
  • Prioritization of analytical and negotiation skills, with strong decision-making abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Pay

$100,000 – $125,000 annually
