Responsibilities
- Underwrite and manage a diverse transportation insurance portfolio, focusing on growth and retention
- Evaluate new and renewal transportation risks using underwriting guidelines
- Analyze submissions and operational exposures to make informed underwriting decisions
- Maintain underwriting discipline while ensuring high service levels for partners
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and coverage for new and renewal accounts
- Develop and nurture relationships with brokers to identify new business opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5-7+ years of transportation underwriting experience
- Experience managing a portfolio of commercial transportation risks
- Strong skills in broker relationship management and business development
- Prioritization of analytical and negotiation skills, with strong decision-making abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
