About the role

Step into a pivotal role as a Catering & Convention Services Manager where you’ll drive catering and convention success, blending creativity, client service, and business acumen to deliver exceptional experiences. As the leader for assigned properties, you’ll manage food and beverage sales goals, service clients/groups, and ensure every event exceeds expectations. Your expertise will shine as you collaborate with the Director of Sales or Director of Catering/Convention Services, helping the hotel achieve revenue, satisfaction scores, and sales targets. This position is overtime eligible (OEM), and overtime applies.

Responsibilities

• Crush sales and satisfaction targets, including meeting planner scores, guest delight, and food and beverage sales.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication, tours, and exceptional service.
• Monitor industry trends and identify new opportunities to keep the property ahead of the competition.
• Plan and execute flawless events, handling banquet orders and last-minute changes with precision.
• Represent the property at local events and community engagements to build brand reputation.
• Participate in special promotions and sales initiatives with enthusiasm and teamwork.

Requirements

• High school diploma (or equivalent) required; prior convention, event, or catering sales experience preferred.
• Creative thinker with knowledge of food, beverage, and event planning.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for negotiation and sales.
• Valid driver’s license for the applicable state.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Proven ability to work independently, multitask, organize, and present professionally.
