LCL Export Operations Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with customers, steamship lines, truckers, and warehouse.
• Negotiate rates with vendors (steamship lines, truckers).
• Ensure Department emails are addressed timely by the team.
• Assist and coach team members in problem solving.
• Manage Department time and attendance.
• Ensure Department KPIs are met.
• Make decisions for loading/rolling decisions where financial matters and customer requirements are considered.
• Maintain relationships with overseas agents and ensure agent agreements are followed.
• Select ocean carriers.
• Ensure shipments are processed in compliance with the laws and regulations governing the US Export Industry.
• Implement procedures to improve productivity, quality, efficiency, and profitability.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to lead and manage small to mid-size team.
• Familiar with ocean container load planning.
• Functional knowledge of IMDG and CFR-49 regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
• Knowledge of geography.
• Minimum 5 years of ocean transportation experience.

Pay

$22.00 - $27.00 / hour
