Lawn Care Technician

About the role

Lawn Care Technicians perform a variety of landscaping maintenance and snow removal duties. They ensure our communities are well-maintained, presentable, and provide quality customer service to residents and guests.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash, shovel, and perform maintenance or repair duties using blowers, mowers, drills, or other hand tools.
• Ensure lawns are manicured appropriately through mowing, weed control, weeding, raking leaves, planting flowers/shrubs, spreading mulch/woodchips/stones, trimming shrubs and hedges, and removing damaged tree limbs.
• Inspect and repair irrigation systems as needed.
• Pick up trash and debris from common areas and streets daily; empty common area trash containers.
• Maintain community equipment and report maintenance issues to the manager.
• Ensure the community adheres to curb appeal standards and remains presentable at all times.
• Safely operate vehicles for job duties and follow safety procedures.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• High school education (some high school required).
• Previous lawn care experience, preferably in the resort/hospitality industry.
• Demonstrated knowledge of general grounds maintenance techniques.
• Ability to work outdoors in seasonal temperatures.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency in operating hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery.
• Ability to provide legible written reports.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
