Lawn Care District Trainer

Responsibilities

  • Track and help progress team members through the Self Directed Advancement Program (SDAP).
  • Partner closely with branch leaders to ensure activities align with district manager and business objectives.
  • Participate in essential areas such as Safety, Compliance, Brand Standards, Standard Work, Fleet and Equipment Maintenance, and Customer Interaction.
  • Maintain the integrity of the SavaTree program and provide appropriate messaging to various audiences.
  • Coach team members on interacting with customers and providing written diagnostic reports.
  • Improve team member's knowledge of lawns and landscapes, and integrate pest management into other services.
  • Provide instruction on different application techniques and ensure results meet company standards.
  • Promote field secondary sales and provide feedback to Arborists.
  • Evaluate the success of training methodology with post-training review and productivity tracking.
  • Address customer concerns and deficiencies identified by team members.
  • Engage in field production, including completing lawn routes and assisting with route coverage.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with additional education preferred.
  • 1-2 years experience in a lead or training type position.
  • Outstanding communicator, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to train and teach in a clear, concise manner.
  • Patience and ability to motivate team members to achieve high levels of performance.
  • Influential personality with the ability to sell the SavATree story.
  • Can-do attitude and willingness to coach others and be coached.
  • Respectful approach interacting at all levels within the organization.
  • Current required pesticide certifications based on governing state laws.
  • Valid driver’s license, with CDL a plus.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office and ability to build training presentations.

About the Role

This person can be located at any of our Front Range branches. The focus of the Lawn Care District Trainer is to mentor Lawn Care specialists to advance the level of Safety, Quality, and Productivity resulting in consistent excellent customer satisfaction and team member engagement. The trainer works with team members at various skill levels from new hire basics to experienced specialty knowledge areas as a role model promoting a positive work environment.
