What You’ll Do
- Support efforts to process company agreements efficiently, including managing contract management system and assisting with contract reviews and monitoring contract lifecycle.
- Aid with privacy matters, review of marketing and various communications materials, and OFAC monitoring and reporting.
- Maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and disseminate information to relevant individuals.
- Assist with reviewing and preparing responses to customer complaints and other matters originating from state insurance departments, as well as other legal processes (such as subpoenas).
- Manage and maintain corporate legal documents, ensuring compliance with filing deadlines, and coordinating across the Company to gather necessary information.
- Perform legal and factual research and recommend appropriate courses of action.
- Manage and update Legal Teams and SharePoint sites, as site owner, including assigning security, providing education, and updating information proactively to increase usability and functionality.
- Proactively contribute to and lead projects and work groups within the Legal Department.
- Build and maintain positive internal and external customer relationships.
- Demonstrate leadership by completing tasks and responsibilities with minimal ongoing guidance, exhibiting core skills, integrity, resourcefulness, and diligence, and motivating and influencing others through a diligent, professional approach.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED, 1-3 years of related experience in a law office or other legal environment, recent graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply, substantive legal knowledge, creativity in problem solving, and use of independent discretion and judgment, analytical and organizational skills and personal judgment to establish, prioritize, and execute goals and tasks, proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools and Adobe Acrobat and ability to learn various software and research applications.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or Associates degree, Paralegal certification or training, understanding of insurance regulatory requirements.
