Law & Policy Internship
The Take Back The Night Foundation invites outstanding law students to apply for a rigorous, 6-month, 20-hour/week internship focused on the legal and policy dimensions of sexual violence prevention and survivor support.
- Research federal and state legislation related to sexual violence
- Analyze Title IX, Clery Act, and campus safety policies
- Draft policy briefs, memos, and advocacy materials
- Support national initiatives aimed at improving survivor protections
- Contribute to legal education resources for universities and communities
Eligibility Requirements
- Current enrollment in a JD, LLM, or related graduate program
- Minimum GPA of 3.6
- Two letters of recommendation
- Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills
- Ingenuity, professionalism, and strong attention to detail
- Proficiency with Outlook and Microsoft Office
- Full-time access to a computer (not a tablet)
- Strong organization, time management, and ability to work independently
Outcomes
TBTN interns have gone on to secure Ivy League placements, earn full medical school scholarships, work with organizations like NASCAR, and receive nationally competitive awards. This internship offers unmatched exposure to real-world policy work in the field of sexual violence prevention.
