Law Firm Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Law Firm Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $100,000 to $120,000 per year. Job Responsibilities Manage accounting activities for legal industry clients while maintaining accurate financial records and reporting. Oversee billing, accounts receivable, account reconciliations, and trust account transactions to support daily financial operations. Review accounting work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures and client requirements. Coordinate workloads, assign responsibilities, and ensure projects are completed within established deadlines. Provide financial guidance and support to clients while assisting with accounting system management and process improvements. Requirements Bring experience supporting accounting and bookkeeping functions within a legal services environment. Demonstrate knowledge of trust account management, account reconciliations, billing processes, and financial reporting practices. Possess experience using accounting software, cloud based bookkeeping platforms, and financial management systems. Maintain the ability to manage multiple client accounts while meeting deadlines and service expectations. Demonstrate experience leading accounting teams and overseeing the quality of financial work products. Qualifications Apply strong analytical and problem solving skills to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records. Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail when reviewing transactions, reports, and client accounting activities. Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders through professional written and verbal communication. Lead, mentor, and support team members while fostering accountability and continuous development.
