  • Define the standards, templates, and quality bar for operational guidance across the function, and drive their adoption organisation‑wide.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to integrate products into data disclosure tooling, ensuring the guidance framework keeps pace with product and tooling changes.
  • Diagnose systemic operational policy gaps, design scalable solutions, and drive them through to implementation.
  • Own novel and ambiguous operational policy problems where no precedent exists, establishing the framework, approach, and measures of success.
  • Define and own the operational policy roadmap, sequencing competing priorities across multiple halves and articulating the rationale to senior leadership and cross‑functional partners.
  • Make and defend judgment calls on high‑ambiguity, high‑sensitivity matters.
  • Direct the development of operational policy and guidance, integrating input from cross‑functional teams.
  • Track the progress of operational policies from submission through to implementation.
  • Address operational policy‑related issues in support of corporate strategy, policy, and objectives.
  • Ensure proper tracking and reporting on engagement and outcomes of operational policy efforts, providing cross‑functional partners with information on development activities.
  • Articulate operational policy background and supporting rationale to internal parties, including senior management, operations, and other stakeholders.
  • Articulate and defend operational policy positions in internal meetings with Meta stakeholders, building consensus where partners hold competing priorities.
  • Drive alignment and land decisions across cross‑functional partners without direct authority, escalating when a clear recommendation is needed.

  • Build and sustain senior cross‑functional relationships needed to ensure development and operational readiness requirements are understood and implemented.
  • Draft and own operational policy‑related materials—including reports, proposed documentation updates, documentation derived from legal guidance, and instructional content—proofing, revising, and editing copy for accuracy and clarity.
  • Own operational escalations related to sensitive subject matters from global team members, the quality assurance team, and cross‑functional partners, partnering with the legal team on policy decisions.
  • Act as the escalation point of reference for complex or precedent‑setting operational policy questions.
  • Mentor and coach colleagues on operational policy drafting, governance practice, and stakeholder engagement, raising the quality bar across the team.
  • Bring clarity to ambiguity on behalf of others, enabling team members and partners to move forward on decisions independently.
  • Identify and codify repeatable practices so that improvements scale beyond individual workstreams.
  • Ensure all requests are scrutinized and handled in strict accordance with applicable laws, Meta’s terms of service, and law‑enforcement guidelines.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on operational policy direction, risk, and trade‑offs, including documentation change management and metrics.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple complex projects simultaneously, advocating for operational efficiency while balancing risk.
  • Lead globally focused projects end‑to‑end, including those spanning multiple regions and cross‑functional teams.
  • Address sensitive content issues such as graphic violence, child exploitation, offensive language, and other objectionable material.
  • Adapt flexibly to different time zones to ensure effective collaboration and continuity of operations across regions.
