Law Clerk to Judge Joseph L. Hensley

Duties And Responsibilities

• Review briefs, motions, and other case filings
• Conduct thorough and comprehensive legal research on a wide range of topics
• Prepare written memos
• Draft, proofread, and cite-check judicial opinions
• Attend oral arguments
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Hold a Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent degree from an accredited law school
• Be a member of The Missouri Bar or be eligible to sit for the Missouri bar examination

Salary and benefits

• The anticipated starting salary is $60,000 to $63,000 per year, depending on the specific position.
• Law clerks are eligible for certain state benefits, including health insurance, life insurance, deferred compensation plan, and retirement plan (after applicable vesting period).
