About the role

Hooks, Meng & Clement (HMC) is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Law Clerk to join our growing Las Vegas office. HMC practices Workers' Compensation Insurance Defense, OSHA employer representation, and industrial insurance litigation, representing employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators. This position offers hands-on litigation experience, providing the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys on legal research, drafting, case management, and all phases of litigation in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Manage case files and calendars
• Attend depositions and hearings
• Collaborate with attorneys on strategy and trial preparation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in law or related field
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

• Experience in legal research and writing is preferred
• Knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations is beneficial

Pay

$65,000 - $80,000 annual salary dependent on experience
