Law Clerk NYC

Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. (QPWB), a multi-office national defense firm and the largest minority-owned law firm in the United States, is seeking a Law Clerk to join our Securities & Corporate Law team in our New York City office. This is a part-time, hybrid position designed for a current 2L or 3L law student.

About the Role

The Law Clerk will work closely with attorneys on a variety of securities and corporate law matters while gaining practical experience in a law firm environment. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated law student with an interest in securities regulation, corporate law, and business-related legal issues who is looking to develop their research, writing, and analytical skills. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and able to balance part-time legal work with their academic responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research on securities, corporate, regulatory, and related legal issues
• Assist attorneys with drafting legal memoranda, correspondence, and other legal documents
• Research and analyze statutes, regulations, case law, and regulatory guidance
• Assist with reviewing and organizing documents and materials related to client matters
• Support attorneys with case and matter preparation
• Assist with maintaining organized matter files and legal research materials
• Participate in team projects and provide general legal support as needed
• Perform additional research and law clerk responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited law school as a 2L or 3L student
• Demonstrated interest in securities law, corporate law, business law, or related areas
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
• Professional, dependable, and eager to learn
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
• Availability to work a part-time, hybrid schedule in New York City

Pay

The pay range for this role is $17–$20 USD per hour (New York City).
