About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Law Clerk to support a high-volume litigation team. Reporting to the Managing Attorney, this role is designed for someone who can step in where needed—drafting discovery, reviewing court documents, summarizing case activity, and helping attorneys stay ahead of deadlines and risk. The Law Clerk will be a reliable extension of the legal team, not only completing tasks but also helping attorneys make decisions faster and keeping cases moving efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Discovery Drafting: Prepare discovery responses, including Requests for Admissions (RFAs), Requests for Production (RFPs), and Interrogatories, using established templates and attorney guidance.
  • Document Review: Thoroughly review pleadings, court orders, and filings from opposing counsel to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Case Summarization: Prepare concise case summaries, identifying key legal issues and summarizing case activity for attorney review.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Run and summarize reports related to case status and deadlines to ensure no critical dates are missed.
  • Risk Escalation: Identify and escalate problems or gaps, such as missing documents, evidentiary issues, or procedural risks, providing attorneys with clear and actionable summaries.
  • Production Excellence: Maintain high accuracy in a production-oriented environment, ensuring work requires minimal revisions.
  • Workflow Support: Assist during high-volume periods to support workflow consistency and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with civil litigation processes and procedures.
  • Strong legal writing and analytical skills for drafting and summarization tasks.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to manage high-volume work without sacrificing quality.
  • Ability to work in a structured, process-driven environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • A proactive and responsive mindset, with the ability to identify issues early in the litigation cycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, a Paralegal certificate, or current enrollment in an ABA-accredited Law School (JD candidate).
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a litigation environment or equivalent academic/clerkship experience.
  • Must be resourceful, collaborative, and able to communicate complex legal issues clearly to attorneys.

Work Environment

The position is 100% in-office based.
